Texas Orthopedic Hospital recognized as a Modern Healthcare Best Place to Work
Houston, TX — Texas Orthopedic Hospital has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2023 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. This is the 12th consecutive year in a row that the hospital has made the exclusive list, coming in at #10 in 2023.
The rankings were announced on Sept. 28 in Chicago, to celebrate the 2023 award winners. Modern Healthcare partnered with the Workforce Research Group and the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey. While this program has evolved over the years, its mission remains the same: recognizing workplaces that empower employees to provide patients and customers the best possible care, products and services.
As the healthcare industry continues to navigate ongoing challenges, the mission of the Best Places to Work program has only become more important. Healthcare leaders have proven that creating nurturing, supportive workplaces for their most valuable asset, their employees, is vital.
“We are honored to be recognized for the 12th year in a row as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare”, said Eric Becker, CEO at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. “At Texas Orthopedic Hospital, we are committed to changing and improving human lives. This mission is not only true for our patients, but for our entire team. I want to thank all of our colleagues and our medical staff for creating such a unique and special environment.”
Modern Healthcare’s 16th annual Best Places to Work program identifies and honors 150 outstanding companies and organizations within the U.S. healthcare industry that empower employees to provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products and services. This distinction requires a special commitment to culture and excellence.
“An uncertain economy, staffing shortages and increasing demands for flexibility and remote work opportunities are forcing every business in the industry to focus on attracting and retaining talent in unprecedented ways," said Dan Peres, president of Modern Healthcare. "The 2023 Best Places to Work winners proved the value of understanding what employees want — and need — today. The healthcare industry is going through a period of extraordinary change. Having the right people in place is more critical than ever, and the winning workplaces understand that taking care of employees is central to business success.”
Modern Healthcare published a special supplement featuring the ranked list of all winners in the Oct. 2 issue of Modern Healthcare magazine.
