Thank you for your interest in the Summer Volunteer Program at Texas Orthopedic Hospital.  Applications are accepted in March/April and the program officially kicks off annually during the first week of June.

Volunteers are a vital part of the caring atmosphere at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. Those who participate in the facility’s volunteer program dedicate their time, energy, and talents to assist patients and family members during their stay with us.

Volunteers work across the entire hospital, including:

  • Information desks
  • Waiting rooms
  • Recovery rooms
  • Food & Nutrition
  • International Relations
  • Inpatient room visits
  • Medical records
  • Rehabilitation
  • Refreshment and magazine carts, floral deliveries

Many of the volunteers at Texas Orthopedic Hospital were initially patients themselves. Sharing their personal experiences helps them connect with the patients they meet. They also enjoy the many benefits of volunteering, including:

  • Meeting new people
  • Contributing to the community
  • Making a difference in the lives of others
  • Bringing joy to patients and visitors
  • Celebrating at the annual volunteer appreciation gala
  • Free meal and parking per shift
