HOUSTON, TX — Texas Orthopedic Hospital has embarked on an expansion project that includes additional operating rooms and enhanced clinical areas with public spaces. This is another step in the growth of the boutique orthopedic hospital.

The improvements at the nearly 295,000 square-foot specialty care hospital are estimated to be completed between 3rd and 4th quarter of 2022.

Details of the project include additional operating rooms that will expand on the 4th floor and the purchase of the Greenpark Plaza II medical office building, adjacent to the hospital.

“I believe these projects will provide our physicians and healthcare teams additional space to continue meeting the needs and expectations of the patients and communities we serve,” says Eric Becker, chief executive officer at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. “This expansion will also increase our capacity to meet the growing demand for orthopedic services in Houston.”

Texas Orthopedic Hospital was developed to provide high-quality, cost-effective, specialized orthopedic care in a streamlined environment focused on wellness, mobility and quick recovery. As one of the only specialty hospitals in the country focusing solely on orthopedics, Texas Orthopedic Hospital offers all services conveniently on its campus.

“We are excited about this growth and the future of Texas Orthopedic Hospital,” says Dr. Gregory Stocks, chief of staff Orthopedic Hospital. “The surgeons of Fondren Orthopedic Group will have the opportunity to serve more patients with the excellence and compassion that our facility is known for throughout the region.”

The facility has been recognized with the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award, Outstanding Patient Experience Award and as a Five-Star Recipient for Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement and Spinal Fusion.
